Right now we have family from Sweden staying with us, and today we took them on a little adventure out to an orange grove. The place is called "U pick Citrus" and is located about 20 minutes from our house. You get a bucket and you get to pick your own oranges, there are many different varieties but depending on when you come some may not be ripe yet or some may have already passed. They also offer lemons and grape fruits!
The people who own it, Judy and her husband Bob, are very friendly and knowledgeable and will answer any questions you may have. It's a lot of fun for the kids too, as they have several cats and a dog. A full bucket of oranges costs about $8-$10. You can find their Fb page (and phone number and directions) here:
