Custom-Britto-order

Here is my latest custom order. My client wanted a painting of her daughter holding their cat, and she wanted it to be very colorful and in Britto-style. Hopefully it will make it to Virginia before xmas!

This is a little boy from a classic old Swedish kids' book. I grew up reading the books about him, and now my children are enjoying the very same books and stories!

New opportunity!

Today I met with a couple of ladies who are starting an art store in Fort Myers, and they are going to be seeling my stuff in their store!! It's pretty exciting! They will get a cut from the sales but we worked out a deal where everyone is happy! This Wednesday I'm going to bring them a bunch of paintings and we'll go from there!

Future family enterprise!

Today my daughters and I were painting while the baby was napping. We had a really good time and I'm so proud of my girls!

Isabelle (7) used crayons and Vera (5) chose acrylic paint.

The other day a couple of women who are starting an artstore in Ft. Myers contacted me and asked if I'd be interested to sell stuff in their store. I'm going to meet with them this Sunday to find out the details to see if it's something I'd like to do.

I saw the painting with the birds in a Potterybarn kids catalog today, and I thought I'd make one

myself. Now I have to wait until the paint dries until I can finish it.

I bought this magazine rack at a local thrift store for 2 dollars(!!!) and tonight I turned it into a Swedish piece of furniture :).

It will go in the Sweden-suite (our guest bedroom!).

I saw the original online and I just love this pattern, but Marimekko stuff is very expensive so I figured I'd make my own!

Picasso

The original painting recently sold for over 100 million dollars, so I figured I'd make my own :-). It's not completely done yet!
I'm not saying I'm a "Picasso" in any way, I'm just saying you could have something like this hanging on your wall for a fraction of the price!
