Cactus garden!

I was looking to buy cacti online (or the seeds anyways) and came across this ehum "contracption", that sells for only 99 dollars plus shipping...seriously???  Not that it's not nice...but over $100...

Summer break with the kids!

The kids are off school and most of the time they enjoy helping me around the house.  Gardening seems to be a big hit! 

The Paris pot now has a pretty plant in it.  I realized last night that the pot had a crack in it, so I can't sell it (bummer :)), so now it will look pretty in my front yard!

Father's Day!

My husband is big into Tiki decor and as a fun gift I thought I'd make him a pot that KIND of looks like hime (NOT).  The front has "his" face on it and the back has 3 big hibiscus flowers in different colors.  I then bought him a King Sago palm tree to plant in it, and honestly I don't know what the other green plants are called.  Now I'm thinking I need to make him a "wife", so that's my next project :). 

Housewarming gift!

This pot was painted a warm burgundy red, and then I added white hibiscus flowers to it.  It was a much appreciated gift! 

Fort Myers - City of Palms!

These two pictures are from McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers.  It gives extra epmhasis to the nickname "City Of Palms"!! 

Alex!

Alex knows enough to turn the TV on and grab a remote, but after that he is clueless :).  Ellen is never far away :)

The Ugly Duckling!

We saw these ugly ducklings the other day, and of course you can't help but think that they will grow up to become beautiful white swans, just like they do in H.C Andersen's tale "The Ugly Duckling"...However I'm guessing these will all grow up looking like their parents...see below :)

Annoying bird...

If I weren't such a loving, nurturing animal lover, this bird would be long gone.  I love wildlife but seriously, this bird makes the most annoying sounds and it's ALL DAY, EVERY DAY.  Growl.

Someone is watching you...

You have to bear with me when it comes to the excitement over seeing an alligator, I grew up in Sweden, where the most exotic animal you see is a squirrel haha, so having gators behind my house is a bit exciting for me :)

Evening walk in da hood!

Sometimes you wonder who is really lookg at who :).  I barely noticed this gator, because I thought it looked like a rock :)

Beautiful fountain/sculpture!  makes me feel like I'm in Italy and not Flurr-dah!
